Depart Darwin airport approx 2.30 pm ( allowing flights to all arrive )
Drive out to Beatrice Hill for a “welcome to country” ceremony with traditional owners Graham and Lynette Kenyon and their family.
Drive to Kakadu, 250kms
7.30pm – Check into Accommodation Outback rooms Cooinda, Twin rooms.
8.00pm – Dinner
8.45pm – Welcome Circle with Michelle, Alora & Brian – Sound Meditation

8.30am – We head to the north of Kakadu and cross the east Alligator river into
Arnhem land. A drive of approx 20kms across the floodplains brings us to the
community of Gunbalanya.
Here we meet our hosts at the Injalak arts and craft centre.
We can then explore Injalak Hill (Long Tom dreaming) with the local traditional
owners as our guides to explain and interpret the rock art and region.
Lunch – After lunch there is an opportunity to purchase some local art at the art and crafts centre.

Head off to the middle of Kakadu to visit Maguk (Barramundi Gorge) for a 1km walk through a paper bark forest lining a crystal clear creek teeming with freshwater fish.
Here we are rewarded with a cool swim in the plunge pool surrounded by sandstone cliffs.
Lunch – After lunch we visit Warradjan Cultural Centre
Drive to Garnamarr Campground.
Sharing Circle to review day experiences highlights etc
Sleep in swags, dinner set around campfire take in the beautiful night sky and energy of the area.
7.30am – Breakfast
8.30am – This morning we drive towards the Arnhem land Escarpment and do some 4WDing to Twin falls. A short cruise through the Gorge surrounded by towering sandstone cliffs brings us to the falls (no swimming due to crocodiles)
Lunch – After a picnic lunch by Jim Jim creek we make our way over to the mighty Jim Jim Falls.
A 1km walk through the gorge brings us to a huge plunge pool where we can enjoy a cool refreshing croc free swim.

Return to camp at Garnamarr campground in swags under the stars with dinner around the campfire. Showers and toilets available.

8.30pm – Meditation / Yoga nidra
6.00am – Yoga
7.00am – Breakfast
Pack up camp
9.00am – Cultural tour at Ubirr World Heritage listed Rock Art with Victor Cooper traditional owner & former Kakadu ranger
11.00am –Leave for Bowali, Kakadu HQ, information centre.
Lunch – Photos and stop at Mamakala wetlands, great views and birdlife.
Drive to Darwin, arriving approximately 4.00pm (or earlier if needed for flights etc.)
For those awaiting flights early in am on 22nd or staying overnight we can meet up for a dinner in Darwin and night on the town

Michelle Merrifield is the founder and operator of popular Essence of Living Yoga & Pilates studio and International Teacher Training Academy on the Gold Coast. After first discovering Yoga and Pilates at the young age of 16, Michelle knew with every cell of her body this was her calling and she wanted to share both the spiritual and physical benefits of the practice with others.
